Meeting us and getting to and from Wadi Rum Village

 

 

On your way into Wadi Rum, you must stop at the visitor's center to purchase your entrance ticket into the protected area. If you already have the Jordan Pass, the entrance into the protected area will be free.

 

The meeting point for all tours and overnight stays (unless otherwise stated or arranged) will be at Wadi Rum Village, which is 6km after the visitor’s center. Please call us when you arrive at the visitor’s center so we will make sure to meet you promptly when you arrive in the village. When you enter the village you will see a large parking lot where you can park your car for free. We will meet you there.

 

Please be advised that we only accept cash and please be aware that there is no ATM in the village so you must have cash before you come here (the closest ATM is in Aqaba).

 

 

TO/FROM PETRA/WADI MUSA

-There is a bus that leaves Wadi Musa for Wadi Rum every morning at 6am and stops in the hotel district in Wadi Musa: 7 JD per person

-There is a bus that leaves Wadi Rum every morning around 8:30am to Wadi Musa/Petra: 7 JD per person

-Private taxi: 40 JD

 

TO/FROM AQABA

-There is a bus that leaves Aqaba for Wadi Rum every day around 1pm. It is advisable to arrive early to ensure you get a seat: 3 JD

-There is a bus that leaves Wadi Rum every morning at 5:30-6am for Aqaba (though we cannot provide transit from our camp to the village to catch this bus): 3 JD per person

-Private taxi from Aqaba City: 25 JD

-Private taxi from Aqaba Airport: 40 JD

 

TO/FROM AQABA/EILAT BORDER*

-Private taxi: 40 JD (to Eilat from Jerusalem/Tel Aviv, see Israel's bus company, Egged)

*Note that there is an 120 shekel exit fee when leaving Israel, and an 11-12 JD exit fee when leaving Jordan. 

**Taxi from Israeli border to Eilat: about 45 shekels

 

TO/FROM AMMAN

-JETT bus to/from Aqaba: 8.60 JD (+taxi or bus from Aqaba)

-Private taxi: 120 JD
